WWE Raw Deal Database

Download the WWE Raw Deal Database by clicking here.

If you don't already have the .NET Framework installed on your computer, get it by clicking here.

February 8, 2007

Finally, a new version of the Database is available. To use, you must first download and install the .Net Framework. After that, download the database to a folder and unzip it. Then open Raw Deal Database and you are good to go. BE SURE TO DELETE ANY OLD VERSION OF THE DATABASE BEFORE UNZIPPING THIS ONE TO BE SURE THERE IS NO CONFLICT ERRORS.

Those of you who used the previous database will notice a lot of changes.

1. Search options are not visible by default. To open them click on the Display menu then pick which ones you want. Search options that aren't opened will not be applied to a search.

2. The Database now has two modes: All Axxess and Revolution. The modes change which search options are available as well the look of the decklist and legality checks. The Database starts in Revolution mode for new players but that can be changed by clicking the Mode menu. Eventually, I will add an option to change which is shown by
default.

3. Deck format: Now when you create a new deck, it will ask you which format you wish to use the deck for. This will cause searches to only show applicable cards, and check for legality when you add a card.

4. The database is now resizable. This is important for people with smaller monitor sizes.

That's all I can think of right now. I still have a few tweaks to make, but they are all graphical. The database has complete functionality right now, barring any bugs.

You still have to have the .NET Framework to work the database. It is available at the link.

You can email questions, comments, and bugs to me at praethus@yahoo.com. Please remember to include "database" somewhere in the subject line.

*WARNING* - Old Decks will not work with the new database but there is a very simple way to fix that. Open the deck in Notepad or some other editor. Create a new line at the very top of the list. On that line type the following:

If the deck is for All Axxess, type aa
If the deck is for Afterburn, type ab
If the deck is for Revolution, type rev

Example
Old Deck

John Cena

//Backstage(0)//
etc.

becomes...

New Deck:

ab
John Cena

//Backstage(0)//
etc.

Again, email me if you have problems with this. I shouldn't have to change the deck format again, unless something new is added to the game.

*END WARNING*

I will try to keep the database updated regularly with bugfixes. I shouldn't have to make an update this big ever again, because the new code and design are pretty efficient. Again guys, sorry for the over long delay.

Remember to report bugs as they are found. Hopefully, I've quashed most of them. If you discover a "bug" or error, email the Database Manager Eddie Walker at praethus@yahoo.com and cc Barron (barronvangortoth@yahoo.com) be sure to write "database" in the subject line. If you find a bug when adding a card to your deck, include the card being added, the superstar, and as much of the decklist as possible. This will aid in tracking down the bug. Also, if you find card text that is not up to date with MRP, PLEASE let me know.

Database Manager
