[Revolution] Edge
All Axxess
by Cody Lentz

BACKSTAGE (3)

<Raw Deal logo> Fifth Anniversary x1
<WWE logo> Backstage Signature x1
<WWE logo> Backstage Signing Appearance x1

Strategy Notes: Which you play simply depends on the situation. If you think you’ll need the star value boost reveal all three. If your not certain as to whether or not your opponent is packing Backstage Shenanigans then it’s better to error on the side of caution and reveal only <Raw Deal logo> Fifth Anniversary.

BACKLASH (20)

Pre-match (10)

Big Slide Into the Ring x2
Don’t BASH the Star x1
[Revolution] I’m Not Your Damn Role Model x1
It’s Time for a Great American BASH x3
Managed by Vince McMahon x1
You’re a Human Vacuum Cleaner… You Suck and Blow at the Same Time x1
White Wedding x1

Strategy Notes: The pre-match is simple. Vacuum Cleaner, Big Slide x3, Time for a BASH x3, I’m Not Your Damn Role Model. This pre-match set-up will give you 3F to start with and since you will have 2 Edge Superstar Specifics in your ring area at the end of the pre-match phase it will lower your cards titled “The Rated R Superstar” to a mere 4F one more than you’ll begin with. Managed by Vince is in there merely for when you’re concerned with stipulations or feel you may need the extra mid-match slots. “White Wedding” is primarily in the deck to help combat Andre.

Mid-match (10)

Big Slide Into the Ring x1
For the Love of The Game x2
Fortitude Surge x1
Introduce Your Brain to Your Mouth x1
Sex & Violence x1
Sustained Damage x1
The Road to Victory x1
This is Going Nowhere Fast x1
You Think You Know Me x1

Strategy Notes: The mid-match is used primarily for the sake of reversals and meta. “For the Love of The Game” is meta for “It’s All About The Game” which can cripple even a well built BASH deck. The “Big Slide Into The Ring” is using the mid-match merely as a container, it should be played as a pre-match or not at all.

ARSENAL (60)

Actions (10)

Love-Fury-Passion-Energy x1
Million Dollar Smile x1
Never Gonna Stop Me x1
Shane O’Mac Delivers the BASH x3
Sodas Rule! x1
That’s How I Roll x1
Your Brush with Greatness is Over x1
Your Just A Puppet x1

Strategy Notes: Pretty straight forward but this is also where the tech side of the deck comes in. Early in the game “I’m Not Your Damn Role Model” won’t seem to be of any use whatsoever, however later on in the game when you have both “Million Dollar Smile” and “Never Gonna Stop Me” in your ring area you’ll find the storyline to be infinitely useful as you can discard non-unique, non-hybrid maneuvers to activate those cards and leave yourself with less cards in hand allowing you to use one of those discarded cards.

Antics (2)

[Revolution] Everything Has Come to Life x1
[Revolution] Leave It All Behind x1

Strategy Notes: Once again very straight forward. “[Revolution] Leave It All Behind” can provide some extra draw and deck cycling early while “[Revolution] Everything Has Come to Life” can be a miracle of mid to late game recursion as well as granting momentum to your next maneuver.

Maneuvers (13)

BASH Drop Over The Ropes x2
BASH Headlock x3
BASH Suplex x3
[Revolution] Edge Clipper x1
[Revolution] Edge’s Missile Drop Kick x1
Edge’s Spear x1
[Revolution] Edge-ucator x1
[Revolution] The Rated R Spear x1

Strategy Notes: Once again fairly straight forward. The deck opens with either BASH Headlock, BASH Suplex, or if you are going second and they get fortitude the deck can open with the “[Revolution] Edge Clipper”. From there the deck builds up using reversals and maneuvers to climb into range for that wonderful game ender “[Revolution] The Rated R Spear”.

Reversals (35)

Armaggedon x1
BASH Evader x2
[Revolution] Big Boot x2
[Revolution] Chicken Wing x2
Don’t Try This At Home x2
Downward Spiral x1
Edge-acution x1
Edge-O-Matic x1
Edge’s Running Spear x3
Get the “F” Out x2
[Revolution] Inverted Atomic Drop x2
It’s Great To Be Back Here In… x2
The <Raw Deal logo> Revolution x1
[Revolution] On This Day, I See Clearly x1
Overexposure x1
Scream If You Want It x1
Sidewalk Slam x2
The Rated R Superstar x3
The Return BASH of Scotty’s W-O-R-M x3
Volleyed Beyond the Edge x1
I Change The Questions… x1

Strategy Notes: “A Revolution of the Mind” is not run in the deck because it really doesn’t need it, besides most decks are designed to play around it now. “Volleyed Beyond the Edge” is great for BASH decks because typically they start the game with enough fortitude to utilize it. It essentially functions as a 3F omni-reversal to non-unique maneuvers on the overturn, couple it with the mid-match “This Is Going Nowhere Fast”, and “The Return BASH of Scotty’s W-O-R-M” to generate a strong defense against non-uniques early on. Essentially Edge’s specifics turn the reversal base into a verifiable tool box. Almost any card in the game can be reversed by one of Edge’s specifics and once you build your way to 40F you’ve got those “Edge’s Running Spear” to fall back on.

Any Final Strategy Notes / Insights: If I have to sum this deck up I’d call it a creeper deck. You’ll start the game faster than most but it will leave your opponent thinking crashing agro is the deck style. Then once you’ve drawn out whatever action reversals they have the real strategy of the deck will become apparent as “Never Gonna Stop Me” and/or “Million Dollar Smile” hit the table. By the time they realize what’s going on it’ll be much too late to compensate for it.
