Randy Orton: Legend Killer Deck
All-Axxess
by Michael Dorrin

Backstage Area: (2)
RAW DEAL Fifth Anniversary
WWE Signing Appearance: John Cena

Strategy Notes:
The strategy here is to get a +1 to your SSV from the Signing Appearance and if you don’t like a card you have in hand then you can put it on the bottom of the deck to draw the top card and the Fifth Anniversary is to put 5 cards that you want back into your deck if you overturned some good cards after you overturn 5 cards

Backlash Deck: (20)

Pre-Match: (10)
1x The Best Laid Plans…
1x Evolution is a Mystery
1x A No Show
1x Vince McMahon, Guest Ring Announcer
1x Trash Talkin’ Interview (tb)
1x Managed by Miss Jackie
3x New Orleans, Louisiana
1x ECW Championship Belt

Strategy Notes:
The idea here in the Pre-Match is to use these 5 at all times: Trash Talkin’ Interview (tb), Managed by Miss Jackie, ECW Championship Belt, Evolution is a Mystery, and A No Show. Trash Talkin’ Interview is resolved first to get rid of any reversals to your maneuvers or actions, Managed by Miss Jackie is resolved fourth to put any cards that have been discarded from Evolution is a Mystery and put them back into your deck, ECW Championship Belt is resolved second to give your maneuvers a +2 Damage so your European Uppercuts are out of Elbow to the Face range, Evolution is a Mystery is resolved third and you discard Vince McMahon Guest Ring Announcer or Trash Talkin’ Interview (depends on which one you use in your Pre-Match), and x3 New Orleans, Louisiana, Change in Program Lineup and I’m Making This Up As I Go Along which will allow you to get rid of backlash cards like Backlash, Cow on Ice, Shoot Counter, etc…, and A No Show is resolved after you play it and it lets you put Manager Interferes and Chair Shot underneath to put to your hand. After your opponents Pre-Math is over, show the 2 cards to your opponent to make sure they are heal, put them into your hand and replace A No Show with Best Laid Plans… That will allow you to draw back up to your hand size plus 2 more for revealing a heel card to your opponent. Vince McMahon, Guest Ring Announcer is only played to avoid Hell in a Cell decks, and x3 New Orleans, Louisiana is discarded from Evolution is a Mystery.

Mid-Match: (10)
1x Reverse 180-Degree Chair Shot
1x I’m Making This Up As I Go Along
1x The King Interferes!
1x Unscrupulous S.O.B.
1x You’re as Graceful as a Cow on Ice
1x When You Thought You Had All the Answers…
1x Change in Programming Lineup
1x The Legend Killer
1x [Revolution] My Destiny
1x Silent, But Violent

Strategy Notes:
I’m Making This Up As I Go Along and Change in Programming Lineup gets discarded when you resolve Evolution is a Mystery, You’re as Graceful as a Cow on Ice, King Interferes, Unscrupulous S.O.B., When You Thought You Had All the Answers, and Silent, But Violent are your basic reversal cards to help you through the match, The Legend Killer allows you to put any 5 cards from your ringside pile into your arsenal and allows you to make your next card irreversible, [Revolution] My Destiny is an Antic which if somehow you are behind in fortitude, play this Mid-Match to gain 3 more and hope to play an amazing maneuver or action next, and Reverse 180-Degree Chair Shot is another maneuver to be able to played as long as Chair Shot or a card with the word Chair is in your Ring Area.

Arsenal: (60)

Actions: (19)
1x Destiny
3x Ego Boost
3x Fully Evolved: Only the Strong Survive
1x I Spit in the Face Of…
2x Kristal: Broadcast Beauty
2x Maria: Ideal interviewer
3x Over the Ropes
1x Paid, Laid and Made
2x Spits at Opponent
1x The Youngest Champion in WWE History

Strategy Notes:
Use Orton’s Ability to put 1 of 2 cards into your hand at the beginning of your turn, either Destiny or Over the Ropes. Destiny will allow you to put cards from Ringside pile to your Arsenal, but if none are in hand, I suggest getting Over the Ropes so you can play that to discard I’m Making This up as I Go Along. Discarding that allows you to put Change in Programming Lineup into the Ringside Pile along with the Maneuver and then play the O:F 12:D Chair Shot, thanks for the ECW Belt. Fully Evolved allows you to discard 2 random cards from your opponent and boost your Maneuvers +2 Damage, Maria: Ideal Interviewer allows you to force your opponent to put 3 cards from hand onto the bottom of his arsenal and look at his hand, Spits at Opponent allows you to make your opponent discard cards, and Ego Boost allows you to make your maneuvers -5 Fortitude.

Antics: (2)
1x [Revolution] Burn in my Light
1x [Revolution] A License to Kill

Strategy Notes:
The idea of playing Burn in my Light is to be able to take a superstar with a high Superstar Value like DX or Andre and making them overturn cards equal to their Superstar Value times 3 and an idea for playing A License to Kill is to discard at least 1 or 2 cards to make the next non-unique card -9F for each card discarded.

Maneuvers: (14)
2x Chair Shot
6x European Uppercut (tb)
1x Ego Cutter
2x German Suplex (tb)
1x [Revolution] Ego Cutter
1x [Revolution] The Legendary RKO
1x [Revolution] Third Generation Dropkick

Strategy Notes:
Try to use Chair Shot 1st turn to get to 10F so you can use most of your reversals to your advantage. If you play against say Jeff Hardy, sacrifice the European Uppercuts because you have 6 of them so you can get rid of his reversal combo with That’s Suicide or just hit him with actions and revolution maneuvers. Ego Cutter is to get 5F fast if you have Ego Boost in your hand or European Uppercut in your Ring Area. [Revolution] Ego Cutter, [Revolution] Legendary RKO and [Revolution] Third Generation Dropkick are in just as 3 support [Revolution] maneuvers for perhaps for some easy fortitude

Reversals: (25)
1x Overdrive
1x “Cowboy” Bob Orton Interferes
1x Divine Intervention
3x Elbow to the Face
2x It’s Great to Be Back Here In…
3x Manager Interferes
1x Overshot Your Mark
2x A Revolution of the Mind
1x [Revolution] Overexposure
1x [Revolution] Saw That Coming a Mile Away
1x [Revolution] Masochist at Heart
1x [Revolution] Try To Get Away
1x [Revolution] I Won’t Be Beat Tonight
1x Don’t Try This at Home
1x Third Generation Superstar
3x Volley This!
1x RKO

Strategy Notes:
You have your basic reversals that can help you with fortitude such as Elbow to the Face, Bob Orton Interferes, Manager Interferes, and you also have your trademark Finisher, the RKO for reversing any Non-Trademark maneuver, and you have Volley This! for reversing actions, Don’t Try This at Home for reversing Restricted Modification Symbol (RMS) cards an your basic revolution reversals for those revolution maneuvers

Any Final Strategy Notes / Insights:
This deck is a lot of fun and will be when you work these cards and the cards from Revolutions and Revolution 2: EXTREME into it. Have fun and let me know how it does.
