WWE Raw Deal 5th Anniversary

Strategy Notes: I like to play it safe and reveal only the 5th Anniversary incase an opponent is packing Backstage Shenanigans. Reveal multiple Backstage cards at your own risk
BACKLASH (20)
Pre-match (10)
[Revolution] Gone – Not Forgotten x1
A No Show x1
ECW Title x1
For the Love of the Game x2
I’m Gonna Break You x1
It’s Showtime! x1
The Title is on the Line x3
Strategy Notes: ECW Title will boost you out of Elbow range on your 6D and 7D Assaults. The Title is on the Line is a long forgotten card that works very well for this build; if your opponent plays a belt (like all First of All Decks will) then you don’t even need to drop the ECW Title. Gone – Not Forgotten protects any Assaults that your opponent reverses. Holding a No Show until your opponent plays Old School Wrestling Match or it is clear that he will not play it is a good idea. Situations where you should play I’m Gonna Break You should be clear. For the Love of the Game are in the deck primarily for when your opponent drops It’s All About the Game, but occasionally may be played as either Pre-match or Mid-match Actions. Backstage Shenanigans (in Mid-match) and Showtime should be played whenever applicable.
Mid-match (10)
[Revolution] Do it For My People x1
Backstage Shenanigans x1
Goodnight, Everybody x1
Restricted Use in this Area x1
Road to Victory x1
The West Coast Pop (throwback) x1
The Size Advantage x2
Unscrupulous SOB x1
You’re As Graceful as a Cow on Ice x1
Strategy Notes: Hopefully you will never need Goodnight, Everybody, but if you ever find yourself at 70F – go for the easy pin. The Superstar Specifics and Reversals are self-explanatory.
ARSENAL (60)
Actions (4)
Crossing Borders x1
That’s Broken x3
Strategy Notes: That’s Broken will likely be used to fetch reversals due to your Superstar Ability. You’ll be too busy pummeling your opponent to have time to play any other Actions.
Antics (1)
[Revolution] Too Much Damage for One to Manage x1
Strategy Notes: Hopefully your opponent has already used their Restricted Use in this Area on a Title on the Line (if they’re packing it), if so then this card will likely lead to a maneuver that can not be reversed.
Maneuvers (23)
[Revolution] Big Boot x2
[Revolution] Clothesline x2
[Revolution] Discuss Punch x1
[Revolution] Drop Kick x3
[Revolution] Droppin' Da Dime x1
[Revolution] European Uppercut x3
[Revolution] Gut Punch x3
[Revolution] Knee Lift x2
[Revolution] Mysterio's West Coast Pop x1
[Revolution] Rey-Rey's Wheelbarrow Bulldog x1
[Revolution] The 1904 x1
[Revolution] The Original 619 x1
The 619 x1
West Coast Bronco Buster x1
Strategy Notes: Assaults and Trademarks are very difficult to reverse, especially so since many players are apparently having a hard time adapting their decks to the Revolution environment, that’s why they are the only maneuvers this deck runs sans Rey’s two hard-to-reverse Superstar Specifics. Between your ability and [Revolution] Gone – Not Forgotten you should always be able to play the optimal maneuver in any given situation.
Reversals (32)
[Revolution] Front Face Lock x2
[Revolution] Hip Toss x2
[Revolution] Kick x2
[Revolution] Kiss My Ass x2
[Revolution] Think Nothing of It … But Love It x1
A Revolution of the Mind x3
Anything and Hate It x3
Divine Intervention x1
Don’t Try This at Home x2
Elbow to the Face x3
Forever x1
Hold the Phone x2
Manager Interferes x2
Raw Deal Revolution x1
The Big & Small of It x1
Too Fast For You x1
Volley This! x3
Strategy Notes: The new 0/7 Revolution maneuvers are running wild right now. Rather than complain about them being too hard to reverse when raised about 8D as some have, we are packing two of each of the 0/5 revolution hybrids. Trust me, your opponent won’t be too happy when you play a 5D reversal against their first maneuver. These should start becoming standard in more and more decks. Other than those, the rest are standard reversals. You shouldn’t have too much trouble stopping whatever your opponent tries to throw at you.
Final Strategy Notes / Insights: This deck really isn’t anything fancy, it is just consistent. Gone – Not Forgotten and Rey’s Superstar Ability mean that whatever you play will go through eventually and will be (or at least should be) the optimal maneuver at that point in the game. Reverse what they play and play your hard to reverse maneuvers.
Hopefully this deck shows people that Revolution Superstars are not necessarily inferior to the older Superstars in Raw Deal. Obviously some Superstars are better than others, and some are better in one format compared to another, but Revolution Superstars can not be discounted in the All Axxess Metagame.
