Backstage Area(1)
<WWE logo> Raw Deal Fifth Anniversary
Strategy: This is the only backstage card that helps the deck. The Signature and Signing Appearance, while packable, should never be revealed.
Pre-Match(10):
A No-Show
According to Linda & The Board of Executives
I Want To Play The Game
It's Time for a Great American BASH x 3
Straight-Shootin' Interview
Rochester, NY
The Best Laid Plans
X-Treme Sendoff
Strategy: Your normal pre-match, in order, is Rochester, Linda, 3 x It's Time For A GAB, No-Show, and Sendoff. Remember that Sendoff triggers itself, so you may draw two or force your opponent to discard two when it is played. For A No-Show, search for two BASH Pin Holds. When your opponent's Pre-match finishes resolving, the No-Show will trigger and both Pin Holds will remove themselves from the game, placing themselves in range for the ACE effect of "It's Time For A Great American BASH". At that time, switch in Straight-Shootin' Interview to open up the Shoot Counter in your Mid-Match.
Should you not have X-Treme Sendoff, you can play the Straight-Shootin' Interview in its Pre-Match slot and substitute a [Revolution] The More The Merrier as the card played after the No-Show.
As for the other two slots:
-The Best Laid Plans goes in for Andre and I'm Gonna Break You; in both cases, play it instead of your third It's Time for a Great American BASH.
-I Want To Play The Game is there for Kennedy and It's All About the Game (IAATG) decks, as you like your Mid-Match in your Backlash deck and your Pre-match events in the ring area. Should you use it against a non-Kennedy deck, you will have to adjust your pre-match on the fly with regards to what to play, as you will not only have lost one of your Pre-Match Events, but you will be down to five pre-match slots instead of seven. 2 x It's Time for a GAB are your critical Events in this case, followed by the Straight-Shootin’ Interview and Sendoff.
If you suspect Judgment Day (Eugene, Vince), get the Straight-Shootin' Interview down first. That will force your opponent to choose between one of your three Time for a GAB's, A No-Show, or The Best Laid Plans. You can then adjust your pre-match appropriately.
Mid-Match(10):
[Revolution] X-Treme Twist of Fate
Goodnight, Everybody!
Introduce Your Brain To Your Mouth
Restricted Use In This Area
Shoot Counter
Team X-Treme
That's Suicide!
The Road to Victory
This Is Going Nowhere Fast!
You're As Graceful As A Cow On Ice
Strategy: Reverse, reverse, reverse, with a splash of superstar specific fun. Under your optimal pre, you have a good shot of stopping the first non-unique move from the Backlash deck. You also have eight Mid-Match slots available due to According to Linda and X-treme Sendoff, so feel free to use most of these cards to your heart's content. Goodnight Everybody is your alternate win condition.
Yes, Live for the Moment is absent from the Mid-Match, which was deliberate. Between Restricted Use, Sidewalk Slam TB, and The Coach Says "Today's The Day", being able to successfully throw the action, discard the card, and throw the maneuver that has now been made irreversible is not a guarantee. Plus, you're starting at 3F anyway, which makes it less likely that you'll be falling significantly behind.
In the absence of <R> Extreme Twist of Fate or Team X-Treme, either <R> Tiger Bomb or <R> Indian Death Lock will make an ample substitute. Avoid <R> Hung Out To Dry, as it triggers Get Back In The Ring.
Maneuvers(26):
[Revolution] Asai Moonsault x 3
[Revolution] Fall-away Drop Kick
[Revolution] Flying Tope x 4
[Revolution] Flying Neck Breaker x 3
[Revolution] Suicide Plancha x 4
[Revolution] X-Treme Poetry in Motion
[Revolution] X-Treme Swanton Bomb
BASH Pin Hold x 2
Shoot Forearm x 3
Shoot Lock-up x 2
Suicide Dive x 2
Strategies: The BASH Pin holds we discussed up in the Pre-match section.
The Extreme: Follow-ups are the core of the deck strategy. With so little deck space available in All Axxess, encountering someone who is packing the specific typed reversals for follow-up Extreme Means will be rare. That leaves you only to deal with Omnis and Superstar-specifics, and there are not many of those at low fortitude numbers.
Shoot Forearms and Shoot Lock-Ups are there for those matches where getting on the board is tough. Suicide Dives, to a lesser extent, can also help in a troubling matchup, as your pre-match has the required RAW card to trigger the fortitude reduction. The Dives also synergy nicely with Team X-treme.
If you don't own a [Revolution] X-Treme Swanton Bomb, you can feel free to add one of the following:
Dynamic Finisher
The Finisher
Any Colossal maneuver
Any high damage Submission maneuver
Antics(4):
[Revolution] Double Your Value, Double Your Fun x 3
[Revolution] <WWE logo>’s High-Flying Daredevil
Double Your Value is an incredible card for BASH, since most BASH decks will start with the needed Fortitude to play this from the get-go. Daredevil is another card included to break Kennedy's advantage over your BASH.
Reversals(30):
[Revolution] Flipping Mule Kick
[Revolution] Run the Barricade
[Revolution] X-Treme Whisper In The Wind
[Revolution] Why Don't You Kiss My A$$?
A Revolution of the Mind x 3
Armageddon
Ax Kick
Booby Trap (Throwback) x 2
Divine Intervention
Don't Try This At Home! x 2
Elbow to the Face x 3
Get Back In The Ring
Get The "F" Out! x 2
I Change The Questions x 2
Leg Drag (Throwback)
Sidewalk Slam (Throwback)
The Coach Says "Today's the Day!" x 2
The Return BASH of Scotty's WORM x 3
Too Many Rules, Too Many Refs
Strategy: Reverse, reverse, reverse. Tweak for your personal meta, but in this version I tried to include a little bit for everything. Jeff's personal reversal set is chock full of painful Antic reversals, which will help with Antic-heavy decks. Should you not yet possess [Revolution] X-Treme Whisper In The Wind, another [Revolution] Why Don't You Kiss My A$$? or The Raw Deal Revolution will fit in these slots.
Final Strategy Notes: This deck is designed to be simple, yet effective. Aside from the No-Show/BASH Pin Hold trick, there are no overly "t3chy" combinations required to pull off the win, making it a good "starting-point" deck for someone to pick up and play. As always, feel free to tweak for your metagame, and feel free to leave feedback about this deck at the E-mail address provided above.
