[Revolution] Jeff Hardy
Revolution format
by Blaine Bublitz

BACKLASH (12)

Pre-match (6)

[Revolution] A New Plan x1
[Revolution] Climbing the Ladder x1
[Revolution] Kelly Kelly’s Exposé x1
[Revolution] Ring Psychology: Chest x2
[Revolution] <WWE logo> Intercontinental Title Belt x1

Strategy Notes:

The ideal pre-match for this deck is to play [Revolution] Climbing the Ladder and two [Revolution] Ring Psychology: Chest. Unfortunately, you won't always have a lower superstar value, and if you don't play you should play [Revolution] <WWE logo> Intercontinental Title Belt (if you don't have [Revolution] Flying Topé and you have a zero fortitude maneuver in your hand, play Kelly Kelly's Exposé. If you don't have [Revolution] Flying Topé and you don't have a zero fortitude maneuver in your hand, play [Revolution] A New Plan). If your opponent is playing a discard deck, like Batista or Sabu, play the [Revolution] <WWE logo> Intercontinental Title Belt instead of one [Revolution] Ring Psychology: Chest.

Mid-match (6)

[Revolution] Before This Gets Out of Hand x1
[Revolution] Spinning Crescent Kick x1
[Revolution] Taking It to the Hardcore Level x2
[Revolution] Keep Your Eyes Open or It's Game Over x1
[Revolution] X-Treme Twist of Fate x1

Strategy Notes:

Only two reversals in this backlash deck because you need more room for fun. [Revolution] X-treme Twist of Fate is a very good card and should be in here. [Revolution] Taking It to the Hardcore Level is very good in this deck. If you play [Revolution] Taking It to the Hardcore Level and don't have a Extreme maneuver in your hand, play [Revolution] Spinning Crescent Kick (don't play it any other time, too much risk).

ARSENAL (60)

Antics (10)

[Revolution] Gratuitous Chest Shot x3
[Revolution] Look Under the Ring x3
[Revolution] Toys Under the Ring x3
[Revolution] <WWE logo>’s High-Flying Daredevil x1

Strategy Notes:

This is a deck that targets the chest, so [Revolution] Gratuitous Chest Shot is very powerful late in the game, you might even make your opponent discard their entire hand. [Revolution] Look Under the Ring is mainly used to get reversals back from your ringside pile. [Revolution] Toys Under the Ring is used to get maneuvers back from your ringside pile. [Revolution] <WWE logo>’s High-Flying Daredevil can be amazing if you need to get some quick fortitude, especially if it is your opening hand.

Maneuvers (21)

[Revolution] Chop to the Chest x3
[Revolution] Fall-away Drop Kick x1
[Revolution] Flying Topé x7
[Revolution] Gut Punch x3
[Revolution] Run the Barricade x1
[Revolution] Suicide Plancha x4
[Revolution] X-Treme Poetry in Motion x1
[Revolution] X-Treme Swanton Bomb x1

Strategy Notes:

Pretty basic maneuver set that targets chest. [Revolution] Chop to the Chest and [Revolution] Gut Punch are your zero fortitude maneuvers and each has a very good effect. [Revolution] Flying Topé and [Revolution] Suicide Plancha are what makes the deck fun. They both target chest and you can play them without playing a card before them. The best thing about them is they don't get revered by the [Revolution] That's Extremely Un-Original. Unfortunately, they do get reversed by [Revolution] Snatch & Lift, [Revolution] Cinch It In, and [Revolution] Throw into the Ring Ropes. They haven't seen much play as of yet, but they can cause problems if your opponent plays them at the right time. If your opponent isn't packing those cards, you only need to worry about a few cards, like [Revolution] Try to Get Away, [Revolution] Saw That Coming a Mile Away, [Revolution] Before This Gets Out of Hand, and [Revolution] Keep Your Eyes Open or It's Game Over. The uniques are in the deck to help finish off your opponent.

Reversals (29)

[Revolution] Chop x2
[Revolution] Collar & Elbow Lockup x2
[Revolution] Double Leg Takedown x2
[Revolution] Flipping Mule Kick x1
[Revolution] Headlock Takedown x2
[Revolution] I Won’t Be Beat Tonight x2
[Revolution] Masochist at Heart x2
[Revolution] Not What We Came to See! x2
[Revolution] Slap x2
[Revolution] That’s Extremely Un-Original x2
[Revolution] Try To Get Away x2
[Revolution] Welcome to My World x2
[Revolution] Why Don’t You Kiss My A%$? x1
[Revolution] Wrist Lock x2
[Revolution] X-Treme Whisper in the Wind x1
[Revolution] You Telegraphed It x2

Strategy Notes:

A reversal set that covers just about everything in the Revolution format. Nothing special about the reversals.

Any Final Strategy Notes / Insights:

This deck is all about targeting the chest. I had wanted to try using targets in a fun way since I read the Revolution 2 spoilers. Then, I noticed that none of the new Extreme Reversals could reverse Extreme:Follow-ups. I decided to mix those two things and realized Jeff Hardy would be perfect. If you get to play the ideal pre-match, you get to draw two cards and put four cards to the bottom of your arsenal every time you play a maneuver that targets the chest. Have fun with this deck, I sure will. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy this deck.
