BACKLASH (12)

Pre-Match (6):

Dressed for Success x1
I Walk Alone x1
Theodore Long In My Corner x1
The New Breed x1
Tomorrow’s <WWE logo> Legends x1
<WWE logo> Intercontinental Title Belt x1

Strategy Notes:
Pre-match should go<WWE logo> Intercontinental Title Belt, Tomorrow’s <WWE logo> Legends, Batista’s Storyline, and The New Breed. Tomorrow’s <WWE logo> Legends won’t take up a Pre-Match slot and using I Walk Alone and The New Breed, you become an Extremist whose Colossals are –6F. This allows you to play a number of Colossals at a significant Fortitude discount. If you don’t need the extra hand or if someone beats you to the title, slap down either Theodore Long or Dressed for Success.

Mid-Match (6):

A Thousand Years of Anger x1
Before This Gets Out of Hand x1
Caution:You’re Enter the O-zone x1
Keep Your Eyes Open or It’s Game Over x1
Layla: <WWE logo> Divas to the Core x1
Maryse’s French Finish x1

Strategy Notes:
Pretty basic Reversals here, as well as some Antics to help you find A New Breed Unleashed or hit the Follow-ups included. I decided to stay away from Talk is Cheap since this deck will be relying heavily on its Antics (which you will see later).

ARSENAL (60)

Superstar-specifics (5)

I’ll Chew Them Up and Spit Them Out x1
Inside This Pit of Danger x1
The Demon Bomb x1
The Evolved Spinebuster x1
The Guardian Powerslam x1

Strategy Notes:
I decided not to include Batista’s Superstar specific non-Reversal Means (since the deck isn’t playing any) but I’ve included all the others.

Antics (17):

Ashley’s an Awesome Asset x2
A Spirited Turn of Events x3
Double Your Value-Double Your Fun x2
Live Fast-Fight Hard x1
Look Under the Ring x2
Prepare for the Pounce x1
Run the Ropes x4
You’re Fired, Playa! x2

Strategy Notes:
Your Antics will be the lynchpin of this deck. The focus of the Antics is to facilitate the use of Run the Ropes to avoid having to successfully play maneuvers for the Follow-ups included in this deck. Most of the other Antics have pretty utility effects.

Antic-Reversal Hybrids (3):

Hail to the Chairman x3

Strategy Notes:
. Hail To The Chairman will be the savior of this deck. Once you have all three of them in your Ring, you no longer fear the Aggression Rule and can avoid playing maneuvers completely.

Manuevers (9):

A New Breed Unleashed x1
Eye Rake x3
Missile Dropkick x5

Strategy Notes:
The plan here should be obvious. Hit Colossal Follow-ups as early and often as possible. You might ask why you would want to do this. Well simply because That’s Extremely Un-Original doesn’t reverse Follow-ups and this deck can start hitting them at 3F, hopefully seting up an Antic lockdown.

Manuever-Antic Hybrids (0):

Strategy Notes:
No Manuever-Antic hyrbids have been included.

Maneuver-Reversal Hybrid (3):

One Solution:Revolution x3

Strategy Notes:
One Solution seemed necessary because of the restriction on The Second Solution.

Reversals (23):

Here’s a Lesson Plan x1
Inertia x1
I Won’t Be Beat x2
Masochist at Heart x2
Never Think Twice x2
Not What We Came to See x2
Off Your Mark x2
Overexposure x2
The Second Solution x3
That’s Extremely Un-Original x3
Try to Get Away x2
You Telegraphed It x1

Strategy Notes:
The reversals included should keep you in the game. There are a few extra Extreme reversals to make use out of Prepare for the POUNCE and remember Hail To The Chairman reverses non-Unique Antics.

Final Strategy Notes:
This deck was designed to be very innovative, not relying on most of the “normal” strategies. However, with the release of Revolution 3, I see “normal” shifting greatly. There are 21 Antics in the deck above and only 11, yes, 11 maneuvers. The idea behind this deck is to use reversals and A New Breed Unleashed to get on the board. From there, it’s a waiting game until you can hit an Extreme Follow-up. Once there, you want to protect yourself from the Aggression Rule with Hail To The Chairman. Then, Ashley is An Awesome Asset and the rest of your Antics will serve to mill your opponent to death while laying down any painful reversals you may draw into. This deck is slow, methodical, and purposeful. However, it should make 80% of your opponent reversals useless. This deck may not do well, heck, it may never win a match, but I hope it gets everyone’s gears working towards ideas a little out of the box.
