Stone Cold Steve Austin
by Andy Covell
Revolution Format

Stone Cold is a Starting Hand Size of 5, and a Superstar Value of 8 with his Superstar Card. This is gonna be a Texas redneck deck, literally. lol

The Texas Rattlesnake
Pre-match: Storyline
Draw 4 cards.
Superstar Value: +1
New Superstar Ability:
Successfully play a Maneuver and you have 6 or more cards in your Ring with the same Target: put up to 1 card from your opponent’s Ring into his Ringside; if he then has no non-Permanent cards in his Ring, he loses via Pinfall Victory.
Unique

This makes this a Starting Hand Size of 9, and a terrific Superstar Value of 9. You are truly going to become a Red "Neck"!!!

BACKLASH (12)

Pre-match (6)

A New Plan x1
Hardcore Hell x1
Man of 1000 Moves x1
Ring Psychology: Neck x2
The Texas Rattlesnake x1

Strategy Notes: Basically you are The Texas Rattlesnake, so you will also be The Bionic Redneck! And how do ya do this? You play Man of 1000 Moves (easy way to get Only One Solution: Revolution or Collar & Elbow Lockup or a low non F: 0 to go with Harcore Hell in your hand at the start of the game!) and get the Psychology's into play, which tears up Mysterio and Sabu decks like nothing, but is not exactly the point. This idea allows you to get 5 of your Pre-matches into play, with A New Plan in a emergency. Hardcore Hell is you backup card in case your opponent is reverse crazy, you can open up a can of whoop a$% on your opponent. So your set-up should look something like this...

1. Ring Psycology: Neck
2. Ring Psycology: Neck
3. Man of 1000 Moves
4. The Texas Rattlesnake
5. Hardcore Hell

With this, you are going to have a 10 card starting handsize and a Superstar Value of 9. Hardcore Hell is going to make your non F: 0 Maneuvers not able to reverse from hand if it is the first card played this turn. And if your opponent plays an Assault after you have 4 Target "Neck" cards in your Ring, they have to overturn 2 cards and you get to draw 2 cards. Not bad to start a game with, if you ask me. I think you will be hard pressed if you ever go second, but if you do, don't sweat it.

Mid-match (6)

Before This Gets Out of Hand x2
I Can Do What I Want x1
Keep Your Eyes Open or It’s Game Over x1
Talk Is Cheap x1
The Stone Cold Truth x1

Strategy Notes: Basic Reversals to stop early Antics and Maneuvers. The Stone Cold Truth is great!...except to gain the real effect out of it you have to have Do I Have Your Attention…? in your Ring. Bummer. You could get rid of 1 copy of Before This Get's Out Of Hand for It's All Led To This, if you would like to.

ARSENAL (60)

Superstar-specifics (7)

A Decade of Whoopin’ A%$ x1
Arrive—Raise Hell—Leave! x1
Austin 3:16 Says… x1
Do I Have Your Attention…? x1
Strike of the Rattlesnake x1
The Adjudicator Stunner x1 (Neck)
The Toughest S.O.B. x1

Strategy Notes: All cards worth packing. Arrive—Raise Hell—Leave! and Strike of the Rattlesnake are such great cards in your opening hand, it's just sick, and it's possible with your large hand size!

Antics (0)

Strategy Notes: Don’t Stick Your Neck Out is a card I was thinking about, but the whole Strategy is to destroy the opponent's Ring, so I find this card has no actual Value in this deck. The other reason was to free up deck space.

Maneuvers (19)

Chin Lock x3 (Neck)
Clutch onto Opponent x3 (Neck)
Choke Hold x3 (Neck)
Running Clothesline x2 (Neck)
Running Lariat x2 (Neck)
Short-Arm Clothesline x3 (Neck)
Sleeper x3 (Neck)

Strategy Notes: All these Maneuvers work on the "Neck", which fuel The Bionic Red "Neck"s Ability. There are no Means in this deck, and the only Colossals in this whole deck are The Adjudicator Stunner and Running Clothesline. Running Clothesline is in there to scoop up any left over or discarded "Neck" cards to put back in your hand and finish the job. If you notice, all these cards have great purposes. Hardcore Hell cards are (HH)

Sleeper - take a Maneuver from Ringside (HH)
Short-Arm Clothesline - search for a "Neck" card (HH)
Running Lariat - recover 3 cards back (HH)
Choke Hold - F: 0 that removes a Core out of opponent's Ring, gets to draw 1 card
Chin Lock - randomy cause the opponent to discard a card (HH)
Clutch onto Opponent - F: 0 that allows you to see what you get to draw for next turn
Running Clothesline - Colossal that get's "Neck" cards back from your Ringside (Stunner anyone?)

Note: Caught in the Ropes was not a used card that works on "Neck", because it would be really awful to run into Not What We Came to See! and take 3 damage, and allow opponent to draw 2 cards. If this were an Extreme deck, it would be different, but this would make this the only Extreme in the deck.

Maneuver-Antic Hybrids (2)

Neck Breaker x2 (Neck)

Strategy Notes: This card can be used to grab a more appropriate "Neck" card like Running Clothesline or The Adjudicator Stunner if you need to nail something sick.

Maneuver-Reversal Hybrids (18)

Big Boot x2
Chicken Wing x2
Collar & Elbow Lockup x3 (Neck)
Headlock Takedown x3
Inverted Atomic Drop x2
Only One Solution: Revolution x3
Slap x3

Strategy Notes: Standard reversals double as Maneuvers if you need to play them.

Reversals (14)

Inertia x1
Masochist at Heart x1
My Way x1
Not What We Came to See! x3
Outmaneuver x2
Try To Get Away x2
Why Don't You Kiss My A$%? x3
You Telegraphed That x1

Strategy Notes: Standard reversals, in my opinion.

Final Strategy / Other Notes:

Neck cards in deck: 25
12 cards work for Hardcore Hell

This deck isn't actually made to intially "Pin" the opponent in the normal matter. In other words, you're not trying to exactly deplete the opponent's Arsenal, you're trying to use your Ability to take cards out of their Ring. Choke Hold is a card that will make it easier to get rid of stuff, upon being played, that will fuel your Ability, and make use of the psychologies in play. With this deck, you can play low Fortitude stuff that is hard to reverse, gain "Neck" power, and remove stuff until they lose the game. The addition of The Adjudicator Stunner and Running Clothesline can be used to finish off your opponent in typical Raw Deal wins. Don't hesitate to get your Ability to work if you have a shot at taking your opponent out early by making him overturn his whole Arsenal, because that could cost you games...

...And That's the Bottom Line, Cause Stone Cold Said So!
