Revolution Format
BACKLASH (12)
Pre-match (6)
A New Plan x1
<WWE Logo> Championship Title Belt x1
<WWE Logo> Intercontinental Title Belt x1
I’ve Trained for This Day All My Life x1
The More The Merrier x2
Strategy Notes: With such a high Superstar Value, a lot of the time you’re going to be starting the game (especially if you’re going against a fellow Extremist) So, your Pre-match Phase should usually look like this:
<WWE Logo> Championship Title Belt (with all the Extremes and Reversals in this deck, and with such a low starting Hand Size, you should have no problem finding a non-Unique with a target not already in your hand)
<WWE Logo> Intercontinental Title Belt (you want to wait to play this card until after you’ve already played the WWE Championship Title Belt, because if you draw cards for this card, the chances of you getting another move in your hand are very good)
I’ve Trained for This Day All My Life
Now, if your opponent should happen to play the “United States Title Belt” after you play your first Pre-match, then you can play “I’ve Trained for This Day All My Life” and “The More The Merrier.” Lastly, I just put “A New Plan” in my Pre-match as a filler, but if you happen to get a hand that you don’t think you can work with, your best bet would be to play it instead of one of the afore mentioned Pre-matches.
Mid-match (6)
Before This Gets Out of Hand x1
Boot Lace x1
Extreme Throttling (Terry Funk Logo) x1
I Can Do Anything I Want x1
Keep Your Eyes Open or It’s Game Over x1
Taking It to the Hardcore Level x1
Strategy Notes: As far as Mid-matches go: just make sure you remember to take full advantage of the text of Terry Funk’s “Extreme Throttling” (especially if you’re behind in fortitude) because, playing “Extreme Throttling” can potentially help you change the entire perspective of the match in just one turn.
ARSENAL (60)
Superstar-specifics (0)
Strategy Notes: Terry Funk doesn’t have any Superstar-specific cards in his Arsenal.
Antics (5)
Out Here All Night x3
Toys Under the Ring x2
Strategy Notes: The Antics I have in this deck are basically just for recovery purposes.
Antic-Reversal Hybrids (4)
Centered Defense x1
Head-to-Toe Defense x2
Lateral Flank Defense x1
Strategy Notes: I decided on these Antic-Reversal Hybrids specifically because they’re great for reversal and recovery purposes.
Maneuvers (27)
A New Breed Unleashed x1
Caught in the Ropes x3
Drive Opponent Through Announcer’s Table x1
Electric Chair x2
Eye Rake x3
Garbage Can Lid x1
Hand Smash x3
Homicidal Lunge x2
Into the Barricade x3
Microphone Cord x3
Struck by a Singapore Cane x2
Toe Smash x3
Strategy Notes: With Terry Funk’s Ability; the Maneuvers I have in this deck are pretty straight forward (especially since they’re all Extremes)
Maneuver-Antic Hybrids (0)
Strategy Notes: I only have Extremes in this deck, so I didn’t want to pack anything that might potentially jeopardize my deck construction.
Maneuver-Reversal Hybrids (9)
Collar & Elbow Lockup x2
Headlock Takedown x2
Only One Solution: Revolution x3
Slap x2
Strategy Notes: I just have a basic set of Maneuver-Reversal Hybrids to help keep you from having to take to much damage.
Reversals (15)
I Won’t Be Beat Tonight x1
Inertia x1
Masochist at Heart x1
Off Your Mark x1
Outmaneuver x3
Overexposure x2
That’s Extremely Un-Original x2
Try To Get Away x1
Welcome to My World x1
Why Don’t You Kiss My A%$? x2
Strategy Notes: This is just the set of Reversals that I have in my own deck. You can always tweak the Reversals to your liking, but so far, this is the best strategy I’ve used in this deck.
Final Strategy / Other Notes: This is actually how I have my Terry Funk deck built. Strategically, I think this may be the best Revolution deck I’ve worked with so far. To take full advantage of Funk’s Ability (and occasionally to be able to abuse it) all of the non-Hybrid Maneuvers are Extremes. And, the Hybrid-Reversal Maneuvers are basically just for Reversal purposes and to keep you and your opponent on your toes. Have Fun!!!
