2006 RAW DEAL CENTRAL NEW YORK CHAMPIONSHIP

This is our second annual event of this kind and it had a good turnout and was a huge success. This being a FREE event was great Comic Images, myself and Play The Game, Read the Story put together a great deal of prizes (my thanks to Alan Gordon @ CI and Mr. Pollichemi @ PLGRTS.) Afterburn was the format for this event.

The Prize Structure was:
1st Place – 5th Anniversary, Divine Intervention, 3x The Raw Deal Revolution
2nd Place - Carlito Signing Appearance, WWE Spinner Belt, 3 x The Raw Deal Revolution
3rd / 4th Place – 3 Rumble Packs, Managed by the WWE Divas, 2 x The Raw Deal Revolution and DX Face Cards
5th – 8th Place- Rumble Pack, The Raw Deal Revolution, a Prize Card, DX Face Card
9th – xx Place – 3 random SS3 foils

All entrants received The Raw Deal Revolution; WWE The Power is Back, Degeneration X Face Card and a random SS3 Foil. Every round each player also received random SS3 foils or a random Ultra Rare. Pizza was also provided by me for all.

We also had 8 random Prize Drawings for Raw Deal Sleeves with a Starter (6), a Battle Bag, and a Victoria Signing Appearance.

There were 21 participants, 5 rounds of Swiss and cut top the top 8.

It was a great time had by all with a lot of stuff given away for free. I hope to see even more entrants when we do this again next year. I would like to thank everyone that came out and made this a great event. We saw some new players today and that was great was happy to help them out with some free commons and uncommons. (Which I encourage everyone to do when you see a new player it make them a consistent participant if you help them.) Enjoy Raw Deal and have fun; that is what it is all about.
