Chilean National Tournament

Hi, the days October 6 and 7 we made the Chilean National Tournament in the same place of the last year: Mall Florida Center in Santiago.
60 players of different cities like Arica, Iquique, Antofagasta, Copiapo, Vallenar, La Serena, Viña del mar, Quilpue, Talca, Rancagua, Concepcion, Chillan and, of course, Santiago arrived with the dream of be the new Raw Deal Chilean Champion.
The Tournament was set for 8 swiss rounds, 5 with all axxxes format and 3 with revolution format, on Saturday and the top on Sunday. The Final of the tournaments was set at the best of 3, 1st Al Axxxes, 2nd Revolution and if necessary a 3rd game All Axxxes again.
Revolution Judgment day 3 arrived to the stores just in October 4th, so it wasn’t allowed to use any card of this set in the tournament. For that reason the Revolution deck wasn’t decisive for a player to pass at the top.
Despite of the number of players was less than the last year, the player’s level was very high and they all were very enthusiastic and show that no matter the city they represent, all had the potential to be the winner of the tournament.
After the first day, and like every great tournament and all the nerves that this mean, unfortunately we had a lot of DQ for problems with the Decklist that the players previously give to the judges, Alvaro and me.
This situation set the future of the tournament, but it doesn’t mean that the players on the top 16 don’t deserve their place. The champ is one of the best players of Santiago and I’m sure that he will represent us very well in Orlando the next year.
