ORIGINS 2006 Report
by Barron Vangor Toth
WWE Raw Deal co-designer

At some point either for this site or for my private BarronVangorToth.com site, I’ll write about all the various shenanigans that took place as much fun was had outside the facts of which Superstars were played, who had what records, and who won. But there is much to cover so that will have to wait for another time. Before I dive in, let me thank all the fine people of the Midwest as well as all those that traveled in as it’s always thrilling to see folks taking time away from their families, friends, and jobs to play a game you design. I’d also like to specifically thank Jason Griffey, Tom Teagardner, and Christopher “Creed” Pate for helping me run the events, as well as Dave and Vicki Kelley for helping CI President Alan Gordon at the booth. Running events all day basically nonstop for four straight days is a daunting task – and it’s only possible because of the great help we get from our terrific volunteers.

Before we get underway, let me apologize in advance if I spell anyone’s name wrong or if I make an error in typing up a deck list. While I obviously try to be 100% factual, there is a chance that a mistake or two appears below. If that happens, please email me, and I’ll see about correcting it ASAP.

When players around the world are asked who are the best players in Raw Deal that have yet to make it to the World Championships at WrestleMania, there are five names always mentioned: The Fetting Brothers (Joe and Matt), Craig Ewing, Dave Fogle, and Matt “Lodi” Laurie. With Matt, Craig, and Joe in the Top 32 – would one of them (finally!) make it WrestleMania?
